Equality and Diversity Policy

Éditions Emile (the Group) is committed to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion among its publication practice, and eliminating discrimination and harassment on the grounds of all the protected characteristics in the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013 (as below).

Our Policy’s Purpose

  1. Provide equality, fairness and respect for all Group members, partners and contributors involved in any/all projects undertaken
  2. Not unlawfully discriminate against any individuals characteristics in alignment with the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013;

  • Disability

Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated within the Group or by partners or contributors. We reserve the right to cease working with individuals who are found to be discriminatory in any way.

Our Commitments

The Group commits to:

  1. Encourage equality, diversity and inclusion in the publication practice.
  2. Create a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all Group members, partners and contributors are recognised and valued. All Group members, partners and contributors should understand they can be held liable for acts of bullying, harassment and victimisation and unlawful discrimination, in the course of any/all projects, against fellow Group members, partners and contributors and the public. It is the responsibility of all Group members, partners and contributors to uphold dignity and respect towards all individuals involved in all projects.
  3. Take seriously complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by fellow Group members, partners and contributors , the public and any others in the course of the Group’s activities.
  4. Review practices and procedures when necessary to ensure fairness, and also update them and the policy to take account of changes in the law.
